Located along the south entrance of the expanding research development, this tenant-to-lease office building, embodies the campus vision for science, technology, and workplace innovation. The crucial design of the main lobby space, would set a significant tone for the client and entice tenants to embark on their research journey at the new development. As the interior designer for the building core & shell, I collaborated with the design director to pitch the lobby concept narrative, and developed the finishes, along with the space plan and furniture package coordination.
Experience
The journey through this space captures the experience of arrival and disembarking along the California coastline. Drawing inspiration from the warm sandy beaches and serene beauty of ocean coves, I’ve selected furniture and finishes to enrich this metaphorical experience with earthy textures and organic forms. The furniture layout was intentionally planned to funnel users through the space, enhance the immersive experience, and build anticipation for discovery.
Integration of the soft organic textures and materiality to the furniture and finish selections, captures the essence of the California coasts.
